Victor Wang
Victor Wang joined the Charlotte Symphony as principal flute in 2016, and he has since been regularly featured as a soloist with the
orchestra. In the 2017 National Flute Association's Young Artist Competition, Victor received First Prize as well as the Philip Dikeman prize for Best Performance of the Newly Commissioned Work. His orchestral work outside of the Charlotte Symphony has included concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra,the North Carolina Symphony, and The Orchestra Now. During the summers, Victor has performed at the Tanglewood, Colorado College, Texas, Atlantic, Norfolk, and Bard music festivals.
Victor is a graduate of Yale University, where he received a Master of Music in flute performance anda Bachelor of Sciences in biology. His mentors in-
clude Elizabeth Mann, Ransom Wilson, and LornaMcGhee. Originally from Rochester, New York, Victor began his flute studies at the Eastman Community Music School, where he studied with Sophia Gibbs Kim.

Dr. Linda Boianova
Bulgarian-American musician Linda Boianova is equally at home as a concert pianist, singer, vocal and chamber music coach, opera conductor and concert and jazz band director and arranger. Special interests include Russian romance, music history of the Arabs, Baroque performance using primary sources, world premieres of new compositions, and advanced language studies. Ms. Boianova has collaborated with Chick Corea, Barbara Frittoli, Ion Martin, Fondazione Arena di Verona, Deutsche Opera Berlin, and Royal Opera House Muscat and has been on the faculty at Alfred University, Nazareth University, State University of New York at Geneseo, and the court orchestra and chorus of the Sultan of Oman. Linda Boianova holds degrees in Performance, Theory, Vocal Coaching and Stage Direction from the Eastman School of Music.
